Why Zurich, Switzerland?

Zürich or Zurich is the largest city in Switzerland and the capital of the canton of Zürich. It is located in north-central Switzerland at the northwestern tip of Lake Zürich. The municipality has approximately 400,028 inhabitants. Zürich is a hub for railways, roads, and air traffic. Both Zürich Airport and railway station are the largest in the country.

Permanently settled for about 2000 years, Zürich was founded by the Romans, who, in 15 BC, called it Turicum. However, early settlements have been found dating back more than 6400 years ago. During the Middle Ages, Zürich gained the independent and privileged status of imperial immediacy and, in 1519, became a primary centre of the Protestant Reformation in Europe under the leadership of Huldrych Zwingli. The official language of Zurich is German, but the main spoken language is the local variant of the Alemannic Swiss German dialect.

Many museums and art galleries can be found in the city, including the Swiss National Museum and the KunsthausSchauspielhaus Zürich is one of the most important theatres. Zürich is a leading global city and among the world's largest financial centres despite having a relatively small population. The city is home to a large number of financial institutions and banking companies. Most of Switzerland's research and development centres are concentrated in Zürich and the low tax rates attract overseas companies to set up their headquarters there.

Monocle's 2012 "Quality of Life Survey" ranked Zürich first on a list of the top 25 cities in the world "to make a base within". According to several surveys from 2006 to 2008, Zürich was named the city with the best quality of life in the world as well as the wealthiest city in Europe.  The Economist Intelligence Unit's Global Liveability Ranking sees Zürich rank among the top ten most liveable cities in the world.

2. Aesthetic Dentistry:

Aesthetic dentistry is one of the most popular and fulfilling dental fields. Growing patient demands have increased the need for dentists to improve their knowledge and skills in sound restorative options that result in natural-looking rehabilitated dentitions. A veneer is a customized facing, made from porcelain. Veneers are used to align crowded or protruding teeth, close gaps or lighten tooth colour. Working with master technicians (ceramists) they are extremely life-like and nearly impossible to tell the difference between a Veneer and your natural teeth. Their strength and appearance rival that of natural teeth and they do not get stain or discolour. Crowns are used to restore broken down teeth. They wrap over the whole tooth to provide a denser, stronger tooth when they have been heavily treated or worn. They are strong, very durable, don’t stain and are designed to take as much wear as your own teeth. As they are now usually made of porcelain only and individually sculpted for each patient, it is nearly impossible to tell the difference between a dental Crown and a natural tooth.

Why Zurich, Switzerland???

Beautiful and healthy teeth provide a handsome smile and raise the level of confidence. Swiss dentists successfully solve any dental problems and make your smile beautiful. Dentists in Switzerland use various innovative technologies, treatment protocols and the most modern facilities. Before treatment the patient is required to make a panoramic picture of the teeth. Methods of modern dentistry, applied in clinics in Switzerland, allow as long as possible to keep your teeth strong and healthy.

Dentistry in Switzerland (including surgery) is the most advanced in the world. This was achieved due to high professionalism of doctors, the use of modern treatment protocols and the latest technology as well as a friendly and comfortable atmosphere created in hospitals.

Very often this condition is tooth decay. Caries can cause nerve inflammation that can lead to an abscess and tooth loss. In this case, dental implant will be needed. It is the installation of a dental implant in the jawbone of the patient. This implant serves as an artificial tooth root.

Switzerland Dental Market:-

Most oral healthcare is provided by private practitioners and paid for directly by the patients. A dental service is available, dedicated to children, provided by the private dentists and some state dentists. The dentists receive state government subsidies and parents pay a set fee for each item of treatment, according to their income. Disability insurance provides children and youth up to 20 years for any treatment for a set of defined facial congenital abnormalities. And over 20 years the medical insurance provides cover for this group.

Regular patients visit their dentists every 6 - 12 months and about 90% of the population access their dentist on a 2 year basis. A dentist would on an average have 2 000 to 3 000 regular patients. About 10% of the populations are members of private insurance which covers especially orthodontics. All such schemes are personal and paid directly to the insurance companies.
